About
Hello hello!
I’m Phoebe. This personal brand, Sea Earth Sail, came out of a realization that sailing helps to combine the aspects of life I am most passionate about - the ocean, earth, sailing, and travel. I strive to live by the name, balancing land and sea.
I grew up in a small town in Michigan, where I spent summers sailing, racing, and teaching sailing on the lakes. I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors. I travel at every opportunity, and fill my time hiking, biking, practicing yoga, freediving, and waking up early to catch a beach sunrise!
In 2019, I moved to Wilmington, NC to attend college at UNCW. There, while obtaining a BS in Marine Biology and a BA in French, I got a job crewing on sunset sails at a local company in Wrightsville Beach. After one summer there, I decided sailing might be a career I wanted to pursue. So I asked my boss what I could do to make it more than just a summer job, and he told me to get my captain’s license…
Now here we are, four years later, and I’ve spent the last two years living on a catamaran in the US Virgin Islands! There, I worked hard to build up a successful charter business for the same little NC company.
I have recently accepted a position with Outer Passage, captaining a brand new Balance 502 catamaran! I’ll be running charters and sail-training experiences in the Bahamas this winter and New England for the summer. I welcome you to follow along for this next step in my sailing career and come with me wherever the wind may take us!
